SEPT 2014 – National Open Seminar GIs - KH

A national open seminar on the protection and promotion of geographical indications took place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on 29 September 2014. The seminar was conducted by an EU expert and attended by representatives from both, public and private sectors, including geographical indication owners, producers and government agencies.

This one-day seminar focused on strengthening the skills and knowledge of professionals involved in the development of GIs, both in the public and private sectors, to raise awareness on the GIs’ economic impact and to share best practices for managing GIs as a strategic business tool.
