Enhanced IP Capacity in the ASEAN Secretariat

Enhanced IP Capacity in the ASEAN Secretariat activity focuses on enhancing the capacity of the ASEAN Secretariat to deal with IP policy and regional coordination.

This activity cluster comprises the following key activity:  provide human resource support to the ASEAN Secretariat to further build on its capacity to deal with IP policy and regional coordination.

To that effect, in 2013 the project undertook the necessary procedures for the selection and recruitment of an IP Expert to be based at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta as from January 2014 for the remaining duration of the project operations. The project IP Expert assists the Project Management Team in the liaison with the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) and provides support to ASEC in the performance of ASEC’s responsibilities regarding the project implementation.  The IP Expert also assists in the organization and implementation of specific project activities.
