OCT-NOV 2015 – Capacity building on IPR Enforcement – PH, MY, MM, LA

Four National Seminars took place during the months of October and November 2015 in: Manila (Philippines, from 27-28 October), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia, 29 October), Nay Pyi Taw (Myanmar, 2 November) and Vientiane (Lao PDR, 4 November).

The seminars were conducted by a European legal expert and, in the case of one held in Philippines, a representative from the EU Observatory on Infringements of the IP rights, the ECAP Project Leader and ECAP IP Expert also participated.

A total of 159 members of the judiciary and prosecutors, together with IP officials from the four ASEAN countries are in a better position to apply the the knowledge they acquired in the handling and disposition of cases involving IPRs in their respective countries.
