DEC 2013 - Madrid Protocol Training - LA

An expert´s mission to provide on-the-job training on the Madrid System – International Registration of Marks took place in Lao PDR in December 2013.

The on-the-job training sessions were directed by a Madrid Protocol expert from the National Office of Industrial Property of Vietnam (NOIP), and attended by IP officials from the Department of Intellectual Property of Lao PDR.

The training focused on (a) basic features of the Madrid Protocol, (b) role of the Office as Office of Origin, (c) role of the Office as Office of a Designated Contracting Party, (d) conversion, transformation, replacement, and (e) use of relevant IT support tools.
