An Open Seminar on the Protection of ASEAN GIs in Existing and Potential Export Markets was organised by the project in Hanoi, Vietnam, on 20-21 May 2013.
This event was attended by GI experts from the AMSs IP Offices together with Vietnamese participants from the productive sector interested in learning and better understanding the different GI protection systems.
This one day and a half seminar addressed the beneficiaries’ interests in learning more about the GI registration system in the European Union, which was complemented by practical examples of registration of GIs in Europe, and the different GI protection systems in the ASEAN region. All AMSs presented their respective GI registration systems to the general audience.
