ASEAN Trademark Consultation Meeting November 2014

An ASEAN Trademark Consultation Meeting was held in Makati City, Philippines, from 13 to 14 November 2014. The meeting was held back to back to the second meeting of the ASEAN Trademark Cooperation Task Force and was attended by members of the Task Force and other representatives from the ASEAN IP Offices, as well as the ECAP III Project Leader and IP Expert.

This event, aimed to support the trademark-related initiatives under the ASEAN IPR Action Plan 2011-2015 and the work of the Task Force, addressed, among others, the following topics: (1) the ASEAN trademark classification database, (2) trademark filing, (3) ASEAN common trademark examination guidelines, (4) trademark infrastructure and (5) trademark training and promotion.
