SEPT 2014 – Capacity building on IPR Enforcement – TH

A Capacity Building on IPR Enforcement Seminar took place in Bangkok, Thailand, on 18-19 September 2014. The seminar was directed by two European experts.

The first day seminar was attended by national police as well as officials from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI).  The main topics addressed were (a) policing and IP crime, (b) the criminal business model of IP crime, (c) a holistic approach in tackling IP crime and (d) collaborative approaches in IP crime investigation.

The second day seminar was addressed to Thai customs officials.  The main topics addressed were (a) IPR and customs, (b) IPR enforcement legislation, (c) cooperation and coordination in the framework of IPR enforcement and (d) the main problems in IPR enforcement.
