JUN 2013 - Best Practices on Quality Management - ID, TH, VN

The first mission regarding Best Practices on Quality Management at IP Offices took place during the first two weeks of June 2013. During this mission, an EUIPO expert and the ECAP III Phase II Project Leader visited the IP Offices of Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

The participating ASEAN IP offices and EUIPO shared information on quality standard processes that they currently apply. Trade mark and industrial design processes were mapped with a focus on process simplification and quality control. An expert report with recommendations for improvement will be prepared and presented to each individual country.

A Consultation meeting will take place by the end of 2013, where the quality experts and the IP Offices will be able to discuss the reports and the recommendations set out for implementation at the national level.
