FEB 2015 - Study Visit on Madrid Protocol Operations from DIP Cambodia – PH

A study visit of core Madrid Protocol officers from the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) of Cambodia to the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) took place in Manila from 23 to 25 February 2015.

This study visit involved detailed discussions on the provisions of the Madrid Protocol and its Common Regulations. The IPOPHL Madrid Officers presented Madrid operations, their inbound and outbound Madrid workflows, the Madrid forms that they use and other related topics. It provided for a platform to discuss on the issues and challenges that IPOPHL faced during the early months of Madrid operations, contributing to the preparation for implementation of Madrid Protocol operations by DIP Cambodia, following its recent signature of the instrument of accession to the Madrid Protocol.
